Someone told me my hands will develop callouses. Is that true?

We use implements like barbells, gymnast rings and pullup bars. The exercises we do with them tend to be very grip intensive. As a result your grip will be much stronger, and a strong grip is great for a lot of athletic endeavors. As a result calluses will develop, but it isn’t anything gloves, tape or regular maintenance can’t cure. Ultimately the fitness gains outweigh a little extra skin on your hands.
